Industry Challenge
Opened Drug Containers

The US Food and Drug Administration issued its first regulations for tamper-resistant packaging of over-the-counter drugs. Johnson & Johnson unveiled plans for triple-sealed Tylenol packaging: a box with glued flaps, a plastic ring around the neck and a foil seal that's now commonplace among over-the-counter drugs.

The FDA's over-the-counter packaging requirements call for drug makers to say on the label how you'll know whether someone's opened it before you. These "tamper-evident" features may involve the use of logos, breakable seals, blister packs or tape. But still nothing guaranteed yet.

Industry Challenge
Expired Drugs

Certain expired medications are at risk of bacterial growth and sub-potent antibiotics can fail to treat infections, leading to more serious illnesses and antibiotic resistance. Once the expiration date has passed there is no guarantee that the medicine will be safe and effective.

Sisensys Solution
Last Mile

Weather the patient or caregiver grab the medicine from pharmacy or the medicine delivered to her/him directly it is preferred to see the history of the medicine to make sure it is well maintained (temperature, humidity as well as light exposure), it is not counterfeit , the container is not opened and the medicine is not expired. This level of transparency will enhance customer experience and satisfaction and will bring trust with customers.
